Aliyah’s well check

Aliyah had her 2 year well check today. She was very brave and only cried for the shots. The nurse was really good with her, knowing that 18mo-2yr is a rough time for doctor visits, she left and let me mark her height on the paper on the bed and then she set the scales and let us weigh her.

Shayel was so good with her, comforting her and showing her how to do thing - - watching Shayel model things and see how the doc. did with her helped Aliyah a lot I think.

So she got her necessary shots - somehow she missed a hep. shot last time and she also needed her chicken pox one.

She was 26.5 pounds and 36 inches. 50th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height - - definitely a Fisher-Hall. Her hemoglobin was fine. Development is great, everything looks peachy.

We’re not really actively working on toilet training yet and will probably just keep getting her used to it, talk about it, etc. until closer to 2.5. She’s been using her pacifier less and I think she’s officially weaned. The past 3 nights she hasn’t asked to nurse (her only time nursing was before bed). The other day I asked her if she was done with noo-noo - she said “yeah, no more noo noo, noo noo night-night”. It’s bitter sweet knowing that this is the last time I will ever breastfeed again. *sigh*.
