new blog discovery

I like discovering new blogs, even if I don’t have time to even read the ones I have in my reader.

Through Dan (funny story I’ll have to share sometime how I rediscovered Dan’s blog through an email snafu) I found David - - the naked pastor - - now there’s an image for you.

Of course, because of the “naked” metaphor we use in our community, I’m immediately drawn to anyone else in “churcheanity” who uses it in any capacity. But I became quickly interested in David since the hub’s name is David, they have similar glasses, nakedpastor is in Canada, my David was born in Nova Scotia and they’re both very artistic. Oh, and nakedpastor is Vineyard and David reignited his relationship with God in the Vineyard and called it home for a long time…he has also often said if he ever joined a denomination again it would probably be Vineyard. Small world indeed.

    Hi Mak!!

I am so glad that you connected with naked pastor through my blog. Small world indeed. And, the connecting metaphor is more than appropriate.

Just popped over from the naked pastor’s blog (I go to his church, love the guy!). I found the similarities between David and your hubby very amusing! :-)

Off to add you to my links!

I’m happy to have found you back online…after laying down the blogspot address? I was a lurker on that one and was disappointed when you closed it down. Welcome, belatedly, back!

    Greetings from a Vineyard-chick.

And the world just got smaller again!!

I met the Naked Pastor while on tour with Andrew Smith in ‘99. We sat on the Pastor’s porch and enjoyed cigars, pipes, beers, and wonderful fellowship after doing a worship concert at the Naked Pastor’s church.

If Wendy & I ever joined a denomination again, it would definitely be the Vineyard. One of our biggest disappointments in recent years has been how un-Vineyard-like many Vineyards are becoming. Sad, because we felt like Vineyard was “home” for us, although YWAM feels like home these days!

    I like small world moments.

I agree with you about the Vineyard becoming less Vineyard in a lot of ways in a lot of places…but then, we’ve talked about this before :)
