I’m so excited

I discovered that I can just “plug and run” pretty much everything on this macbook. Including my Microsoft trackball mouse and my printer. No software required. Now I just need $500 to buy Illustrator and I won’t need my pc for anything - anyone want to send me $500? Really good karma will come your way if you do ;)

Why is Adobe so danged expensive, it’s a racket I tell ya. Scam artists the lot of ‘em.

I wonder if Adobe has discounts for people involved with non-profits that you could use to get a better price. They are great products, but such a rip off!

I was able to get the Adobe Creative Suite in Australia (where it costs twice as much retail as here) for $350. It includes Illustrator, Photoshop and more. So it’s way cheaper if you can find a discount.

wow, that was a really amazing deal! I’ve never thought of the non profit option, I’ll look into that. Our church would have to buy it of course but I could get them to do that if I gave them the money I bet.

so in case anyone is interested, yes, you can by adobe products for about 1/4 of the cost if you are a 5013c (in the US anyway, I have no idea how other countries do such things). Illustrator is only about $150 or less depending on where you look and the whole creative suite is around $400. Good to know. I’m not sure our church will go along with that since the program will also be used for my own independent contracting…but we’ll see.
