Today was fun, Shay’el and I met Marti Jo and Kaden at the park and played for almost 3 hours. We also had a picnic lunch. Shay’el was a handful and since Kaden is only 10 mo. he was a lot easier to control but that’s our girl…the little go-getter. It was nice hanging out with MJ, we haven’t spent time together for months since we don’t go to Kehilat anymore.

Last night I had a strange dream. I dreamt that I found out David had a one night stand with a pastor’s wife. It was aweful. I woke up and my heart was phsyically aching. My feelings in the dream were so real and vivid that they stayed with me for a long time after I woke up and I had a hard time getting back to sleep. They say that dreams are your mind’s way of working through fears and things that you’re not aware of when you’re awake. It’s really strange though because I’ve dreamed several times that David doesn’t love me anymore or that he has an affair or something similar but I don’t have any insecurities about that consciously.

We’re supposed to be fasting for our Blue Sky Home Groups - Joe talked about it as a spiritual discipline. So David and I are fasting from dinner tonight through lunch tomorrow. I’ve done a 2 week fast before but haven’t done an extended fast since….in fact, I don’t think I’ve fasted at all for over a year because last year I was pregnant. I haven’t been on the message board for almost 5 days now. It’s been nice. I’ve really seen how much time I spent on there and how I was on there too much.

I read some interesting commentaries on Jesus and the Samaritan woman today, a lot of insight that was really good. That’s the scripture we’re supposed to be meditating on for our groups. Tomorrow is our last group in this series. I’m not sure what we’re doing next but I hope it’s something similar, I really enjoyed this time.
